generic child variant sort

Is there a way to change the sort to product-id for the dropdown box using the generic child variant .  It looks to be sorting on the SKU #.  That has my sizes S, M L, XL sorting L, M, S, XL.  Everything else with the child variant works like I need. great job

I have the same problem. Does anyone know a solution?

With the newer version of the child variant (I'm on 2.0.6) it gives you the order you wish to show the children.(product SKU, Product Alias etc)  I used the product alias to override the sort. for example  products that are small medium or large, I used 01-small-item, 02-medium item, or 03-large item.  (or 01-nnnnn, 02-nnnn, 03-nnnnn) on the children  then select product alias.  It works.

I also have version 2.0.6, but I find no way to sort the variants.
