Purchase item customization

I am working on a catalog only site for a client. The client is not selling their product directly to consumers, but instead to retail and online stores.

They want to be able to show consumers the places where they can buy the product they produce.

I configured VM as a catalog only site which works as expected.  Now I need to add the functionality of showing users where they can buy an item they are interested in.

The client wants something very similar to http://spyder.com/products/mens/accessories/glove/1756-excel?index=4

Notice the "Buy Local" and "Buy Online" buttons at the bottom under the product.  Clicking on one pops up a box with the information the user would need to purchase that item.

Is there a way to do this with VM or some type of plugin that will allow this or is this something I would have to code or develop myself?
