Would VM be adapted to this project?

Hi,
i'm preparing for a client a website of this kind:
he's a printer and wants his clients to be able to pass orders of prints through his website (so, no shipment, maybe file transfers, but most important, an invoice and my client to receive the order passed)
would VM be adapted to that kind of use?
i mean, the fact that it's not a traditionnal "buy, pay, ship"  but more like "buy, (maybe send a file to print), pay, get invoice" ...
