Hi
Checkbox on product page as custom field possible?
This post seems to say this is possible or did it get trashed?

Cloning products do not keep custom fields
Also I see the cloning of product do not clone the custom fields of the product as red in:
http://forum.virtuemart.net/index.php?topic=92521.msg304283#msg304283

Can someone confirm they have the same issue on VM 2.0?

Child product do not display on frontend

I get this same problem too, using VM 2.0.0. I have set up 1 product with 10 colours and need to duplicate this product quite a few times, but when I clone the product no custom fields are carried over.

I thought I could cheat and use CSVI to copy them over but this is not yet available to achieve using CSVI4, but have mentioned it to RolandD

To add  to the original post from "design609"

I have also noticed some problems (Not bugs, just could be easier for backend user ??)

Grouped Custom Fields
grouping custom fields is a great idea and works well, But if you group a custom field such as colour, size - then when you add this to the product you can only add one colour or size.

Price : Free
If there is no extra cost added to a custom field, can there be a parameter to not show price :free .
Using my example again with colors, every color I have added to a product for selection has price : free next to it. I also set up some custom field to allow user to input there own text, and this also says price : free next to it.

I have seen from another post that this can be removed in language file, but would be nice it it could be set in custom field configuration somewhere?

What does anybody else think?
J3.6.4 / PHP7.0.12
VM3.0.16

Using CSVI 4 will allow you to import products with custom fields now. I just tested with CSVI4 Beta 5.

But would be nice to know if this will be added to future enhancements of VM2

VM 2.0.1 ??

Should work in 2.0.1

The idea was/is that a child without category creates a variant, when selected in the customs (not working that way atm). When 2.0.1 is released as stable 2.0.2 we will work out this feature.

I strongly recommened to use the latest 2.0.1 version
