Customizing product category(es) and product information - how?

Hi folks,

I would like to do the following modifications, with VM2.

1. At the front page - http://www.semineemures.ro/produse
1.1. I would like to sort the products not by name (as set by default and requested by the client), but by ID. The entire Shop should be sorted by name, EXCEPT the front page
1.2. the featured products and related products option(s) should appear on the category/subcategory pages, EXCEPT the front page

2. At the category/subcategory page - http://www.semineemures.ro/produse/accesorii/demo-1
2.1. I would like to have the exact result as in the demo - http://demo.virtuemart.net/index.php?option=com_virtuemart&Itemid=17&vmcchk=1&Itemid=17
2.2. Succinct, I want to have ONLY the title + image on any category/subcategory (like on the front page and main categories - http://www.semineemures.ro/produse/accesorii)
2.3. The image should be resized as on the main category pages (http://www.semineemures.ro/produse/ and http://www.semineemures.ro/produse/accesorii)
2.4. The featured products and related products option(s) should appear on the category/subcategory pages, EXCEPT the front page

3. At the product page - http://www.semineemures.ro/produse/accesorii/demo-1/Idro-50
3.1. I would like to remove the "Add to Cart" option (the shop is currently just presenting its products, in the future they will sell them, but for now they just want to present)
3.2. I would like to remove "Ask a question about this product"

I'm looking do to so in a way that it will not get broken when upgrading VM. Right now I'm playing with "views" (com_virtuemart / views) but I have no idea how to create a new "view"/"template" and to remove/add/change the things I've specified in the points above.

I've opened - as you can see - a topic there, but it didn't got any reply.

I just need to know the files I need to modify and how to create a new "view"... We can make the view by ourselves, but we couldn't find any documentation regarding views, modifying views, defining new views, etc...

Because that is joomla standard and of course it is described here http://dev.virtuemart.net/projects/virtuemart/wiki/Hints_for_the_use_of_the_template_system.

you can even use the plugin system to create your own views

1) Ok, got it about the views, I suppose that we just need to copy/rename the default.php files with a new name?

2) I still didn't found any option for setting the size of the sub-category image dimension... We found the view/file, but we didn't found any option to keep the same size as on the main categories.
