What about the future of virtuemart? Would it be compatible with Mambo or only with joomla?

I would know if it will be give a version of VirtueMart for Mambo in future? Or only for Joomla.

The current direction is Virtuemart and Joomla.  There are plenty of threads around to explain, I will link to one. You might also look in the news area.
