Tax Compliance Software

Hello Everyone,
I am working on a e-commerce website in the USA. I am torn between two tax compliance companies and need a recommendation.
Taxcloud and Avalara. I am using Virtuemart for the shopping cart. We are selling out of one state and are looking for the best tax compliance software for a starter company.

It seems there is more documentation for Avalara in Virtuemart extension website. However Taxcloud also supports integration with Virtuemart. I will need to read more on the documentation.
What are your experiences with either one, things to look out for etc.
