Dears, I am very new here, working at the making of a new shop on line.  I would like to have the name of products in two lines because of the two languages we use in my area. But how to achieve this?  Thank you for a tip!

VM version ?
Joomla version ?
Screen shot ?
Custom template ?

There shold not have to be any changes, two lines goes automatically as I recall.

In my opinion it would be much better to use the language switching feature of Joomla and VirtueMart to provide product names and descriptions in both languages. The search engines don't like mixed language content. Also, mixed language is a bad reading experience for users (customers).

thank you for your answers!  VM version is 3.2.14  Joomla! 3.9.2 stable  screenshot is attached.  Multilingual shop is "on" .    The idea of using the switchin feature is interesting; I must try to find it and to understand how it works

You have to install all the languages You will use in Joomla and in VM. You will also need to install the language switcher module. To switch between langauges. And of course translate all your products into the languages You will use.
