Sub-Categories not showing up..

Hi, in my virtuemart configuration sub-category view is enable, but it doesn't show up... why?

Are sub/child cats set to show in "Virtuemart category view settings" tab for the parent category, in Configuration/Storefront/Shopfront Settings and in the tabs for the Joomla main menu store link?
