Need some suggestions for clean VM+Joomla setup

Hi!
Finally (and to late) reached point of no return and need to ditch my old VM/Joomla 2 rig. It's ridden with hacks, malware and other bad stuff.

I suspect updating and migrating will be scetchy, risking to get crap into new install. So I'm pressing delete and starting clean with latest version of VM and Joomla.

Hope you guys can help me a bit with suggesting som plugins that works well with this version:
- A one page checkout
- A products for download
- Good spam protection against rouge member registration

- istraxx shipment for virtual products http://extensions.virtuemart.net/product/shipment-for-virtual-products-detail
- default Joomla reCaptcha (enable it on Joomla + VirtueMart configuration)
