Guys, quite similiar issue to the one I ve posted one week before: http://forum.virtuemart.net/index.php?topic=132116.0

I ve been working a while on the layout and after I tried the search module, the searched product shows up.

However, all moduls show up again.

I ve seen in the forum some solutions to get the current view and if its 'category' just hide all other moduls, but I ve been asking myself, if there isnt another solution.

For instance, If you search for 'Spiegelkraftdrache', thats the result:

http://www.tradingcards4you.de/en/search.html?keyword=Spiegelkraftdrache&limitstart=0&option=com_virtuemart&view=category&virtuemart_category_id=0

But, as discussed I d like to hide all the other modules which are above the search results (in this example latest products, special products, some custm html et cetera)

Any idea how to get there?

GJC Web Design

make a menu search .. then config what modules you want
then use that Itemid in the search module

then ->  Set ItemID  in search module

Hi,

Thanks! It worked perfectly.

What I've done:

- Set up a new menu -> menu link which I named "Search" -> Module Position in the Footer (or somewhere else where you want to have it) - > took this item link's id and copied it into the search module of Virtuemart (ItemID).

..and then as always assigned the various modules to the link. If you made everything correct, you ll see in the link path the following part 'Itemid=XXX'.
