guest checkout problem; limited access

Hi everybody
Using joomla 3.4.4 en VM 3.098 on php 5.4.4

The problem is when using quest checkout, one page checkout, and the customer clicks order (after accepting the terms), the message is: limited access COM_VIRTUEMART_CART_ORDER_NOTFOUND
and a 'thank you for your order' is displayed.
The order is noticed in the backend but in the checkout process there was no question about choosing a shipping or payment method.
It happens in a production evironment but also on local host so i don't think its a folder permission issue?

If I do select a shipping method and payment method the error is the same.
But... if i select paypal there is no redirection to paypal but just the error screen.

The non guest checkout functions fine. I have no menu items pointing to registered  users.
So no other error messages. it's not a template issues as it also happens with the default protostar template.
So can anybody point me in a direction?

Yeh, we had this problem in vm3.0.9.6, 3.0.9.8, but Fixed in vm3.0.10
