Spam Registrations!

I am getting tons of spam registrations after launching a new site. I have fields that are required AND reCAPTCH v2 and somehow they are bypassing BOTH!
what is going on and how do i solve the issue?!

The simplest way to avoid spammy registrations is to only have registration available from in the cart -- i.e. once they have something in their cart  - go to cart - offer registration

I dont remember having to do that before. there must be something else i can do?

Why do u want clients registering before having something in their cart? What purpose does it serve?

do the regs look machine generated or are they filled in by some poor sod on 10 cents a registration?
If they fill the captcha the form is sent...
