Hi,

I have modified the core and templates to use my virtuemart as a playlist creator for my DJ business. It has been working perfectly for about 2 years now, but something is now different but not sure what. So, my site does NOT accept new users, I enter them manually in the joomla user manager core. In the beginning, virtuemart picked up the new user and they could make any list and all was good. Then I got hit with, add a 2 person to each account as a guest contact with no access to account maintenance or settings. By doing it this way, what is happening is that the users data is not being transferred in the back end of virtuemart because they can never "save" the account maintenance data at least one time.

What happens is when they hit checkout > reworded complete playlist > they get a permissions error because there is no address or billing data.

Is there I way that I can take the user profile data that I use for address and phone number etc and have virtuemart use that to put into its maintenance tables so that the two systems can stay in sync without me having to do it manually. I also notice that with this old version, it keeps populating the username with the admin name no matter which shopper I select....its annoying. I prefer not to have to deal with the virtuemart user data in admin and just use the Joomla core users to create and move forward to stay in sync.

I have way to many modifications that were done at not as template overrides in my inexperience at the beginning of the task 2 years ago. I have several jobs that I need to keep this up and running for at least another 2 months of work so trying to upgrade and fix it all to what it is now is not an option.

Can anyone help with the best way I can sync the users by just using the joomla core? I have SQL access and any simple script is ok so that i can just plug it an go until I can properly address this.

Thanks in advance for any help.

Chris
