Sell a product by weight instead of quantity?

Hi.

Is it possible to allow a customer to buy a product by weight, instead of by unit? This implies the user can buy a "fraction" of the item (0,25).
I mean, I'd like to sell i.e. 2lt of water, or 250gr of cheese.

Using unit as weight is nearly impossible, as in the case of cheese or other product the "unit" price (grams) would be really low

Is it possible to sell products by weight instead of units?

I need it for a meat delivery service, therefore ordering units wan't fit very well.
I'm using the latest virtue mart version 3.0.6.2

i bought the plugin now, but it seems that the word length is hardcoded and not easy changeable in the settings.
Do you have an idea how i can change the word length to weight, near the input field and in the cart?

The second problem is that the string VMCUSTOM_ISTRAXX_CUSTOMSIZE_DIM
is also attached to every article in the cart. 
Strangely enough this behavior is also in the demo.
How can i get rid of this string?

Maybe the key is missing, but it should load the language file and translate it.

It was a bug in the plugin, indipendent from the language file and Matej fixed it allready. 

But i hope he can also fix the other issues very soon, cause i need it urgently.
All 2 problems are visible on the attached screenshot, one is the word "length" which i can't change,
the other obvious problem is the overlapping guis, i have this behavoir also when i try different templates.

Hopefully it is fixed soon, ticket is pending since Thursday!

Lenght is changeable and the Problem with the layout is the template itself. Imho best in this case is anyway to remove the custom from the browsepage.
