How to create and enable a downloadable virtual products in virtuemart 3

Hello Friends,

How can i make my products downloadable after a payment is made and confirmed in Virtuemart version 3. I have been making use of Hikashop eCommerce component for Joomla 2.5 for a while now and they have this feature by defaultm where you can even set a limited number of downloads per paid and confirmed products or free downloads.

While browsing the net I discovered Virtuemart 3 and loved the way it presents products and decided to switch to it for a new client of mine who wish to sale downloadable products like ebooks and mp3 files. But unfortunately, after spending days trying to configure Virtuemart 3 on Joomla 2.5.27 localhost site, I am dfrustrated I can't seem to find how to do this.

Please can anyone here show me how to do this? I will really appreciate a lot.

You just need a plugin to extend VirtueMart with this capability. Which one you choose is your choice, some have higher level of control over download numbers etc.  Forum search turns up the following (and many other) threads about this. They usually apply to VM2 so it is a case of checking that they are also functional on VM3
