Hello!

I have an issue with custom fields and stock handling in VM2.
I have a "cart variant" type custom field(color) and several options. My VM is configured to NOT allow negative stocks.
In case a shopper wants to add 50 pcs of one product in cart and there are only 30 in stock, the shoppwe receives a warning that the desired quantity is unavailbale.
The problem is if the shopper adds 20 of the product with the cart variant "color1" and after we adds the same product with cart variant "color2", he is able to place the order, and my stock is set to -10.
Can somebody give me a clue how to work this around?

I am using VM 2.6.6 and J 2.5.28.

VM 2.6.6 really????

just wait while I register as a superadmin and take over your shop...

hope you've done the patch at least

re stock and children etc -- you will find a lot of posts about this and to the best of my knowledge this is a known and never fixed problem in VM2
I myself on some sites I have built have seen it.. VM3 is said to be better in this respect but is difficult (impossible?) to set up multi custom featured children

One of the developers (balai ) is working on a plugin (stockable variants ) for VM3 so hope springs eternal
