Return to Last Page after add to cart

HI There!

I am having a problem with my shop front page which is set to my joomla home page. I have added add to cart in the featured products category view and when I perform an "add to cart" operation and click on continue shopping on the pop up box, the item is added but the site returns me to the last category that I was viweing. Eg, if I was on the cereals page it will take me back to that.

Earlier I had the same problem with the category menus, where after selecting an item the site would return me to the category view but not the part of the site where I was. This was fixed by enabling sef friendly urls, but this solution does not seem to work for the home page. My site address is localbutler.co.uk and this can be simulated by performing an add to cart, continue shopping on the home page.

hmm - takes me back always to http://localbutler.co.uk/index.php/component/virtuemart/ which is the VM home page... which you say is your Joomla home page
looks the same to me except the top slider is missing

Wow! it seemed as if the SEF urls has fixed it! I think it was down to clearing the cache on my browser. I have just been at this for so many days that after the SEF did not work immediately I thought it was something else. Thanks for your help!!
