Cannot re-order product categories after Virtueart upgrade to 2.6.6

Hi guys,
I am having a strange issue. After the Virtuemart was upgraded to version 2.6.6, I cannot re-order product categories anymore.
I've tried to reordering by entering numbers and clicking on up and down arrows - and it seems that categories are moving on the backend page, but changes are not reflected on the front page menu. It was working fine before the Virtuemart's upgrade.

Can anybody please point me into the right direction?
