I have installed Joomla 2.5.8 and Virtuemart 2.0.18a, I just added some products and it seems my URL's are really mixed up. In the general setting is got it all to work by shutting of the SSL, but I need that to work to have some security going.

also the new version of Virtuemart is not what i used to know, there are a lot of errors like if I add a product to my basked there no problem but when I login as a user I can not add any products!
REALLY BAD PROGRAMMING!!!

Please help me!

Oke.... I'm done with Viruemart, im downloading HikaShop!!! worked for 5 years with Virtuemart, but this is f'ing retarded!!!
All these errors after installing it 5 times im done, over and out... Thanks for nothing!!!

PS!!! I just installed Hikashop and already finished no errors,I would be ashamed of myself if I would work for Viruemart!!!

From your description above it is pretty clear that you failed to learn how VirtueMart 2 and SSL works. In other words, the problems have been in front of your computer, not inside VirtueMart. However, HikaShop might be more suitable for beginners who have no time to learn how to use a shop system with a huge number of configuration options.

PS: Did you get SSL to work in HikaShop already?  ;)

Sorry have to agree VM2 is trash and needs a whole rewrite. This stuff should be easy for SHOP OWNERS. I have been build sites since 94 and this thing is a HUGE waste of time. SSL does not work, have to BUY SHIPPING MODULES, Checkout process is CLUMSY and not user friendly, oh and try to create a simple drop down for color  or size etc... Goodluck... I'm done with VM Also........... HikaShop here I come.

Everything you complain about is working 100% fine in thousands of VirtueMart shops, including my own one. And I suppose you will soon find that you have will have to spend some money for one or the other extension in HikaShop, too, because even Shopping Cart developers have to pay their bills.
Good luck with your shop...
