Grid View / List View default display

Hi,

First of all I'm a total noob, I have 2.0.26d  Version and i'm using a template, I've been looking for the solution in similar threads but I couldn't find it:

The default display of the products in any category is "List View", but I want to change the default view to "Grid View".

As an user you can change it just cliking on the grid view icon and there's no problem (but it's not the default view), as an admin I've been trying to change the default view with no results. Any help?

- I 've tried to solve it from the virtuemart/configuration/templates/category Layout and other options with no result.
- I 've tried  changing the Products/products categories menu and trying to change each category's setting with no result. 
- I've tried exchanging the "Clist" ("list view") settings for the the "Cgrid" settings in templates\theme412\html\com_virtuemart\category/default.php and it affects the settings but no the default display.

So the default display must be located in other file, maybe a javascript problem, could you help me, please?

There is no grid view in default VirtueMart so you must ask your template developer about this. http://forum.virtuemart.net/index.php?topic=108212.0
