Add to cart button in product module redirecting to index.php?

Hi there,

VM version 2.0.26d

I'm having a weird problem with the "Display modal popup upon 'Add to cart'" when selected the products modules on the front page don't work properly. When you click add to cart it will redirect to index.php and show the checkout on the home-page. Then when I unclick it works and the products are added to cart, but then the shopper is redirected to the checkout which I don't want.

Is there any way I can find what is causing this error or does anyone know a solution?
