Bad thumbnail quality with VM 2.0.24c

Hy,
as I see, with VM 2.0.24c the thumbnail quality is much lower than in previous versions.
I tested it on the same host, with the same configuration but the generated images are a bit poor.
Could I change for example the or anything about this?

the quality is set to 89. The standard is 85, and before it was 100
