Product catalogue advise

Hi all,
I am looking for a product catalogue system and never used virtuemart, however.
I am fairily experienced with Joomla.

Most of thing I want to do, I know virtumart will do, like:
Different customers group
Price per group
Order/purchase history.

My questions come when managing the products.
In my case I want my suppliers to manage their products.
From description to recommended price.

So, will my sypliers be able to edit, add, delete their own products?

In regards to fields, can I set up specific fields for my products?

I read on the site that you can use plugins to handle the payments.
I my case there will not be online payment. I need the cart/order sent to my email. So I can process the order.

Do I get an email whenever a new order is placed?

I appreciate your response as I am trying to avoid starting something with the wrong tools.
I mean, if you guys could clarify if I will be able to achieve the described above with virtuemart would be great.

So just to confirm. I will be able to have my suppliers to manage their own products. Right?

I did some research and found the answer for the question below.
Oh, one more thing. Can I import and export the products as CSV? YES, my understand was that I need a 3rd part extension called CSV Improved or something similar.
