Hi!
Got an issue with my custom fields cart variant. Thing is if customer choce a variant with a price addition, the total price re-calculation on the product page takes painstakingly long time (i mean the calculation that is done "live" on the product page without pressing the add to cart button). Sometimes this takes over  5 seconds. And this is a product with one custom field dropdown with just 2 options. Is this a server issue or something in the browser?  These prices are calculated in the browser with JS, right?

And this has become worse / slower after latest updates to 2.0.20 and above.

Thank´s for any help with this

Running J2.5 and VM 2.0.24 on a rockettheme template, chapelco.

Update: issue seems to be fixed thank´s to good support from one.com. They suggested changing the db-host parameter in joomla from localhost to my sites specific mysql name. They also suggested running db optimization. And after a couple of hours things really have sped up. Hope this can help others with performance issues on One.com.

Update 2: I also looked a bit on jquery on my site and found that K2 loaded this remotely from a google api url. When I turned K2 remote loading jquery off, the site became much more responsive. Right now I run VM jquery setting "on". Just have to deal with some part of K2 on the site not working whith jquery off... man, this is a bit complicated i think :-).

:-) yeh, but we do not have an influence on it. In general vm2 needs an higher tmp_table_size than usual (at least 100 for one language, any extra language needs 10 more. I am not sure about this numbers. I tested a bit around. But then it runs quite fast.
Should I fix your bug, please support the VirtueMart project and become a member
