Can't add category in different language?

I have Swedish and English installed at my site. But when I try to add a new category I only have the option to choose Swedish as language. And when I have created a category and edit it and try to change language a popup shows up and states: "no (en-gb) translation of the product category, set flags in the field". I can't really figure out why it's not working.

Joomla v. 2.5.14
VM v. 2.0.22c
VMVendor v. 1.3.8
Installed language component: FaLang

I sort of solved the problem. I downloaded a file from another topic in the forum (config.php) and also updated VMVendor to latest version. Now I can add a translation to a category, but I still get the error about flags. But if I just ignore that and saves it works.
