Do you get an error message when you try to upload a manufacturer image?
In your Joomla administration you can go to 'Content' > 'Media Manager'  to check if your manufacturer images have been uploaded to the manufacturer image folder path set in VM configuration. If not, I would suggest to upload them with the Joomla Media Manager and afterwards go to VM 'Tools & Migration' and click on 'Synchronize media to VirtueMart'. This will store the image location into the database. After that you should be able to locate your desired manufacturer image in the 'Search for images' field on top of your 'Manufacturer Edit' view > 'Images' tab (the one your screenshot is showing) by typing any word from your manufacturer file name and select it. Don't forget to click on 'Save' after you entered your image information.

Whay VM version are you using? The image you have called  "didnt save.JPG" does not look right - you should have the manufacturer Description tab header appearing above the Images window - but you have something else which includes a jcomments switch.

I also see on your provided web page link that you are not loading VM's jQuery so that the cart is not working correctly.

I am using the latest version it's a gavick pro site if that helps at all? What can I do to fix it :-(

Gavick rings a whole lot of alarm bells in getting things to work properly. You need to load VM's jQuery - it is used in the front end and the backend, so I wonder if that is the cause of your issue. Turn on Using the VirtueMart jQuery   in VM config/templates to see if that helps.

Hi Kelyn
I have done as you said and also uninstalled the j-comments thing and still no luck :-(

AH

Have you tried going back to the default beez template and working from that to see if images will save and show in forntend?

Commercial templates often cause conflicts and issues

Im not shure, but eventually your 'cookieconsent' javascript produces a conflict with other scripts.  It's being loaded from a (slow) external source at amazon. I would try to disable that first and maybe choose use a different cookie solution.

Also I can see an error saying:
The stylesheet http://www.google.com/fonts/#QuickUsePlace:quickUse/Family:Cabin+Condensed was not loaded because its MIME type, "text/html", is not "text/css".

BTW - using webfonts are popular amoung template designers, but they are often loading very slow or not at all. I would disable them, too.

Thank you very much for this advice, How should i go about fixing the google font issue as she really wants a snazzy font :-(  would this be causing the error with the products not saving?

You still didn't let us know which exact version of VirtueMart you are using. Also, do you have a problem with manufactuer images not saving only or do you have a general problem with 'products not saving', like you said in your forum post above?

It's very unlikely that fixing the google font issue also fixes your 'save' problem.  However, you might explain to your client, that using a snazzy font comes with at least one penalty. If you use external google fonts, loading the font can frequently slow down loading the pages, because Google's servers are supplying it with a delay or not at all (maybe because too many websites are requesting at simultaniously). You could use Cufon fonts instead (see here: http://extensions.joomla.org/extensions/style-a-design/typography/11243), but this problaby has a bad impact on SEO, because the Cufon javascript generates SVG graphics for each word and search engines can't read graphics.

Back to your problem - it is difficult (maybe impossible) to figure out what is causing your problem without disabling/enabling a lot of stuff on your website (trial and error).

You might consider to install xampp (http://www.apachefriends.org/en/xampp.html) on your own PC and use that as a test environment. Then add the latest versions of Joomla 2.5.x and the same version of VirtueMart you currently have (but no additional extensions or templates at this point!). Then export the VirtueMart tables from your live website using phpmyadmin and import them into your local installation. Next update to the latest stable or developer version of VirtueMart and check if everything works. Afterwards you could start to add adddional stuff one by one to find out which of the addons is causing your problem.
