Hello All,

We purchased the template the demo store uses but had no luck from the developer to help with some question. He does not reply to emails or answer his forum. Can someone please help?

1 - We have two categories (Parent and Child). We assign all products to child. So on the parent category, we only want to see links to sub categories and do not wish to see any products. Right now it shows 'no results'. How do we update that.

2 - The qty box and add to cart buttons are acting funny. Any advise would help. http://bit.ly/138UDh1

3 - Once you add to cart, there is no thumbnail

4 - Once you add add to cart, continue to enter your billing/shipping information, the template page is all weird. Major alignment issues

Thank you for your help in advance!

I have a hobby to collect threads where gavick isn't able to help his clients. Could you share a link?
1. Your vm version?
2. Css issue. Use tool called Firebug (check FAQs of this forum section).
3. Cant see this issue. Any screen shot?
4. If layout files for this pages aren't compromised it could be jquery.js issue.

You're working in Firefox.

Press Ctrl-U (View source)
then press Ctrl-F (Find row)
type in search field this word - jquery

see in source of current web page something like jquery.js

...analyze what you see...

Find in backend of your web shop option that could turn off jquery scripts that are not part of VM files.

Regards.

The template I see on that url is not the virtuemart.net demo store but a template from Gavick. We see a lot of Gavick problems but malikhemani asks about VM configuration (Q1) as well as about possible template issues. We cannot help with the template issues as that is Gavick's modified code, except to observe that it loads at least 3 different jQuery libraries where only one should be loaded.

So it is a case of using Firebug to debug the JS and layout  or wait for a reply from Gavick.

malikhemani, ask about item 1 in the administration board - http://forum.virtuemart.net/index.php?board=117.0 and give more information. Parent and Child products have real meanings in VM and are not categories.

Thank you Maxism and Jenkinhill.

I think I should use the current terms: Yes our template is from Gavick but we purchased the VM theme from the one used on the demo.

For Q1 - I have posted the question in the suggested board: http://forum.virtuemart.net/index.php?topic=117413.0

After installing jQuery Easy as suggested Q3 was solved.

However We are still experiencing issues with Q2 (add to cart button) and checkout page formatting. I will try on gavick boards but any help would be appreciated.

Thank you!

Don't understand you clearly.

It was another except gavick designer? Somebody who made specific VM theme for you?
Theme with weird issues in formatting?

Time to ask for support another designer, aha?
