Hi there,

I am trying to workout how I can set my template up to display like the attached image. In a list, here is what the requirements are:

1. When an option is selected, it will change the data on the box that is on the right of the JPG attached to this forum thread. This will outline what is being included. I have a feeling that VM out of the box is not able to do this and that mayve that Breezing Forms VM plugin may do this.

2. In category view, each product would be named as product referenced in the Offsite Quota radio list in the attached JPG. So when in category view you would click on the Product details button and would bring you to the product view screen with the appropriate radio button already selected. I would assume I would need to have each product sales price as $0.00 with the Offsite Quota options reflecting the additional costs on top of the $0.00?

3. I also need the Offline Quota in product view to be displayed as a radio list like this and at the moment my customfields are only in a dropdown list. I need to be able to display the optiions so they are all visible without needing to click anything.

4. When you select the option 'Quick Custom' it displays a box to enter in the amount of data you will want as opposed to the above options. However I may just keep to selected plans if I cannot do this.

5. Additional Replication section needs to be in tickbox format. I dont think VM can do this either? Possibly the Polishgeeks breezingform plugin can do this?

Thanks for any help!

Thanks I got it in email? I replied to your email..

Can anyone assist with this? Thanks.

Hello - the developers are looking into your request. You will need to be able to code in Breezing Forms in order to do what you want, or hire someone to develop the form for you. Milton sent your request to our lead solution architect to get his thoughts and advice for you. But you will need to either know how to design forms and do simple code in the form component, or hire the job out.

Our extension connects a completed Breezing Form with VM2. It does not build the form for you.

As long as there would be tech support for it, then I should be ok. I will need assistance but I wont need the form designed out for me.

Thanks.

Hello - Crosstec can provide you support on features inside of Breezing Forms, how-to information, etc. You may want to pose a presales question to them about your form design plans and get their feedback.

And yes, we would support the use of our extension and how that integrates to VM2 as part of product support. Our developer Milton and I misunderstood your initial request to be that you wanted someone to build this solution out for you, end to end, which would be professional development services.

Thanks again for your interest in our extension! You really can do some amazing things by combining a full custom form component and VM2 products!

Numbers 1, 3 & 5 would be controlled by how your design and program your Crosstec Breezing Form. These are all definitely possible in Breezing Forms.

Number 2 has two parts to the question. Regarding the $0.00 price, that would probably be the simplest way to present it to the customer. You will need to be sure to be using the latest version of VM2, as earlier versions needed a hack to display $0 priced items. Regarding the category view having multiple products that come in with the radio button pre-clicked, I am a bit confused by this. If you want them to show as distinct products in your category view, then they will be separate products in VM2. What you can do - and again, this requires knowing how to code - is having the Breezing Form pre-select the right radio button from the options list depending upon the product page it is on. This assumes that you have ONE form linked to all of the products, which must behave differently based on what the customer clicks.

Alternatively, if you have less than 10 configurable products, you could just do 10 different forms that have different default values. That certainly would be simpler to create, but more work to maintain.

Lastly, for 4, if you want to have the amount of data drive the pricing and/or you only want to allow certain values (and I assume you do) then it should not be done with a freeform text box but rather a selectable option, radio button or checkbox.

Most of your questions center around "what does Breezing Forms support if I want to create a form" rather than our integration extension. Once you build the form to do what you want like your screenshot, then you can have our product pick up the pricing adjustments from the options and the desired fields, and bring those into the cart and VM2 order records.

Hope this helps! :)

Thanks, I thought it was capable to do this but wanted confirmation as your extensions, as far as extensions go anyway, is not cheap. PRO is actually helping me on number 3 to radio buttons but waiting his reply on how to change his code on his Dropdown plugin.

This assumes that you have ONE form linked to all of the products, which must behave differently based on what the customer clicks.

Basically the category view will have the options like the attached image I just attached now. However the price listed will just be in the short description. So I think you got the drift. When you click on product details or I will rename it to 'Sign Up Now' on lets says Quick 25gb plan, when it goes to the product page it will have the radio button preselected (as you said). The product name I am going to have omitted on the product page since a user may select a different plan instead of the one they clicked on. My only issue here is it would be nice to record these data as if someone clicked on the Quick 25gb plan but selected Quick 100gb, the sale would be recorded as a Quick 25 or would it be the child variant? I assume it will be the child variant, that being the 100gb plan. But correct me if I have misunderstood.

QuoteAlternatively, if you have less than 10 configurable products, you could just do 10 different forms that have different default values. That certainly would be simpler to create, but more work to maintain.

I was thinking of doing it that way but I never seem to like doing things the easy way :(. Plus its good to learn I guess, and as you basically said more tedious and more time consuming if I have to change all the plans around later.

QuoteLastly, for 4, if you want to have the amount of data drive the pricing and/or you only want to allow certain values (and I assume you do) then it should not be done with a freeform text box but rather a selectable option, radio button or checkbox.

Actually that text box is only can enter text when the Custom Data option plan is selected. If you enter in 200 it will charge 200 x 0.15 cents a gigabite to reflect the value. I dont know if it is possible to do this in VM or your plugin. However This part is not a necessity and I can just use preset plans. It was more a wish list. Though I would like to know how to do it.

Thanks, actually what you just said in that part makes me understand what the plugin does specifically. Perhaps, if I didnt miss it, you could put that as an opening paragraph in bold so people know this. We all arent coders and a lot of us are beginners. Though I have done websites over a few years I am only a novice as its more on the side for me. I get too stressed over it.
