Help with Category Page

I need to get rid of the area to the top or add an image there...  What area is that?  Is it the category view?   I've also gone and changed settings in the back end to only display 1 product per row and it keeps defaulting to 3 per row...   Any idea what I can do to fix this?

The pagination list at the top of the page is screwed to cause the big space, probably due to your Joomla template css. It should appear like the layout at the bottom of the page. Use Firebug to analyse the code so you can sort it out.  http://forum.virtuemart.net/index.php?topic=102850.0

You also have to set Number of Products per Row for each category.
