Virtuemart has enabled me to help several very small businesses make money selling online, one friend of mine argued for months with me, as to whether it was worth getting a shopping cart to sell his products online.

After finally agreeing he would give it a try, for the first few weeks it was like pulling hair out of him trying to get content and information, which finally came and a VM1 shopping cart was created.

This was five years ago, In the past few months his conventional business was declining, but online he was making sales and generating new clients, so recently he finally admitted that had he not had an online source for new customers, things would be tougher for him.

This is a story I can repeat many times for small businesses and people I have helped get online, so I would like to thank everyone involved with VirtueMart from Soren (VM1) and Max (VM2)  the core team,  to the people who give helpful snippets to the person who answered a forum post, which I used to solve a small issue.

I have been using Virtuemart since VM1 and have in the past commented on how familiar, but different, VM2 is, most sites are now VM2.

In today's gloomy world, it would be really nice if anybody else here can add some nice stories about Virtuemart and how it has helped people, being a free and useful product.
I know this sound cheesy, but maybe if others can add their own stories, we can tell this wonderful community about how they have helped people, eat!
