After Installing VM 2.0, the Administration/Control Panel does not show up.

When upgrading from joomla 1.5 to 2.5 with jupgrade and migrating to VM 2.0.18  the Virtuemart Administration and Control Panel do not show up.  In this forum, I saw another guy had a similar problem, but his solution did not work for me because  I do not see the Administration nor the Stats either.  I uploaded the two files in my Joomla backend and it said that the install was successful.  It did say something about needing to enable curl.php.  I have contacted my host about this and am waiting a response....but has anyone ever had this happen?  I mean,  I installed VM 2.0.18 but I cannot do anything.  There is no control panel to work with...When I click on "Components" in my Joomla backend and then the little icon in the drop down for VirtueMart,  I just see this (below that I copied and pasted) and there is no way into the Administration or control panel:    I need help.  Someone please help me.  I am stuck.
