Hi,

I have been trying to send mails but in any case virtuemart is not sending mails.
Cases when virtuemart should send email but not sending
1. When user purchases anything from site, no email notification to user and admin.
2. When admin changes the order status from "pending" to "confirmed".
3. Low stock notification.
4. "Send an email to Shoppers" under Product Status.

- I am using "OSE google checkout" plugin for payment transactions and value for "Order Status for Successful transactions" set to "confirmed".

- For "downloadable goods for sale" I am using "spiral download for virtuemart" and emails containing downloadable goods also not received.

- When user registers using virtuemart registration, system is sending email for activation.
(For this I have made little changes in com_users/models/registration.php and com_virtuemart/views/user/tmpl/edit.php)

- I have category called "Merchandise" if I add products in that category, category details page goes BLUE.

- Emails regarding "forgot username" and "forgot password" also not working.

- I have Joomla 2.5.6 and Virtuemart 2.0.14.

Thanks
Dan

Hi VM team,

May I know the reason of not getting the answer for my query.
Did I left something?

Please let me know if you want anything from my end.

Thanks
Dan

Not sending mail has been covered so many times in the forum before, not only for this version, but for the previous versions too. It is almost always a problem with the Joomla mail configurations or with the server, such as some anti-spam settings, as seen too often on cheap hosts like godaddy.

Registration, forgot username etc uses Joomla's com_user so issues there point to it not being a plugin or VM issue. So try different configuration in Joomla for mail settings. eg some hosts do not permit the use of the standard php mailer.

Your blue page must be something else, unrelated to this.
