Random products

Hi all,
Running Joomla 2.5.8 with virtumart 2.0.2 ,yes I know its an old version but i bought the template from template monster and they are not prepared to upgrade it !!
Any way ,problem is how to get random products on the frontpage that works with the template .

You will see a latest product slider at the top but want a random list of products below that.
Any ideas be great !!!
