Virtuemart in Joomla subcategory setting

I need to show my subcategories in http://www.empiremedia.biz like this site http://www.unitedbroadcast.com.

I have already checked Show Children Category in the Templates tab of the Config menu of Vitruemart:

Go to Virtuemart > Configuration
Click the Templates tabs
Select the Show Children Category check box
Save
But still I don't see my subcategories under parent categories in home page.

whats not what "show children categories" does.

Children category only shows after you go to the top level category.

ALSO: it shows on the product details page
