I am testing a upgrade/migrate of VM1.1.9 to VM 2.0.12b in a J1.5.26 site - have made a backup copy and working in a test subdomain on same server

I followed Max's instructions very carefully and even deleted everything (from the test site and DB) and started again.

Everything seems to have worked and migrated OK, to a certain point.

I cant select the default currency as British Pound!  It always stays as Afghan Currency?

I am getting an error in front and backend that says;
No Shop Currency defined! Contact the administrator, if you are one go to http://www.vm2.mysite.co.uk/administrator/index.php?option=com_virtuemart&view=user&task=editshop

I follow this link and select my British pound and save, then I get another message that says I need to complete the additional information other Tab.  I have filled in everything here and when I click save, nothing happens until I see this white page error message;

Fatal error: Maximum execution time of 45 seconds exceeded in /home/babio/public_html/vm2/libraries/joomla/filter/filterinput.php on line 302

Has anybody seen this before or have any advice/help?

Thanks,
Andy

My sites setup info is;
J1.5.26
PHP 5.3.15
DB 5.0.95 community
Hosted on a Dedicated Linux Server - not shared server

J3.6.4 / PHP7.0.12
VM3.0.16

UPDATE;
I managed to find that the British Pound Currency ID is "52" from looking at jos_virtuemart_currencies in the DB via phpmyAdmin

I have added this to "jos_virtuemart_vendors" and this seems to have got rid of my currency error message, but I still want to know if this is something;

I may have done wrong in the migration
or
Does this only happen in J1.5.26
or
Is this something in the version I am using 2.0.12b

Thanks

Andy

Could this be something to do with the vendor using super user admin details in the back end Shop pages?
I have also noticed that when logged into the front end as my admin account and trying to changed address or other info via VM2 I get Errors.
This apparently is a known flaw/bug in VM2 that has been discussed in the Bug forum since VM 2.0.4

Should the "Additional Information",  in the Additional Information Tab on the back end Shop Admin page be something other than the main Super Admin?

For the backend the first named superadmin becomed the vendor so can set up additional information etc.

Before spending more time in getting VM right I'd suggest migrating to Joomla 2.5 as J1.5 is no longer supported, then you will have the same version used in development & testing.
