Problems / howto with Addtocart issues

I have a custom situation where I HAVE to check for adding a special case situation and the regular default_addtocart.php isn't going to cut it.

Basically I need to have a special situation when I have a product that has left and right items of the product need to be added at once , and to set the quantities. 

I got the forms to capture what I need, I see form to add what I need in a custom view page setup under my template folder. Is there a why to add multiple items (product) to the cart in one form? I apologize if someone else posted this but I did not see any other solutions to this.
