imported products not showing

we have 2 shops and I entered new products in one, then exported from database and imported into second shop. the products are now visible in the database, but not showing in vm admin?!

could you please step us through your process of how you export/import? Which tables etc.

sure... i go to phpmyadmin and select the virtuemart product tables that are relevant for us from these
   _virtuemart_products    
   _virtuemart_products_en_gb    
   _virtuemart_product_categories
   _virtuemart_product_customfields    
   _virtuemart_product_downloads
   _virtuemart_product_manufacturers    
   _virtuemart_product_medias    
   _virtuemart_product_prices    
   _virtuemart_product_relations    
   _virtuemart_product_shoppergroups
which in fact is only the main products, products_en_gb, manufacturers, medias
then do a search in each table for the products i need, tick the boxes, click on export at the bottom, save file

then go to other shop, into same tables, and import each respectively.
then when i check the database, the products are all in there, but not showing in vm?
meanwhile a few are showing, and the rest not, no idea why?

Interesting. That process works for me.

Have you updated all your J! & VM to the latest version?
Also have you checked the error.log?

Beyond that, I'm not sure why you're getting this issue?

thanks, i will actually go back and see if there was anything in the error log...

meanwhile, i gave up :-) and just replaced the rows for those products that were not showing. and now on second insertion it's worked fine! weird... no idea what was wrong there...
