Creating a dropdown Selection List

In an early post - http://forum.virtuemart.net/index.php?topic=95560.msg313777#msg313777 it was mentioned that you can have a drop down selection list for customers to find what they are looking for alot easier.

ie
First Level : Company Brand (Canon , brother, epson ect...)
Second Level : Laser or Inkjet
Third Level : Model Number

But no were does it mention how to do this. 

I have installed VM 2.0.6

If some could please let me know how to do this I would be grateful.
