How to handle downloadables goods for sale???

I migrated now virtumart from 1.1.x to latest version "easter egg".
But i'm really confusing on how to attach the downloadable goods with the products!
i've setup the safe path with my own old media downloadable...
But how, to add the downloadable to a product?? there is no documentation, no forum posts, nothing.
since 2.0.2 downloadable goods are implemented.. sure? i can't figure out that thing.
