Hi

Im almost finished with my virtuemart website but im running into a severe problem.
For some reason the products in one shopper group do not display the price next to the product,
nore in the category view. You can how ever see the price in the shopping basket.

Does anyone have a clue what could be wrong here?

I checked the shopping group settings, but everything is enabled... ???

Thank you

terp

You ever figure this one out?  I'm still trying (and struggling).  :'(

You say
Quotethe products in one shopper group do not display the price

Have you enabled "Enable shoppergroup specific price display" in that group,  and are you logged on as a member of  that Shopper Group having previously cleared the browser cache?

Did you enter anything in the shopper group box for each product?

I am getting closer. :)

We are forced to use Shopper Groups? I only ask, as I am not, have none assigned to the products, but have to be logged in to get the prices to display. I don't have "Membergroup to show prices to" checked, either. Just want everyone to be able to see the base price...nothing fancy here. ;)

..and I get the price to show up for 'base price' and not 'price':

Price:
Base price: $4.95

I changed the language of base to be "Price" and removed the top "price" that was empty, if that makes sense...just not clicking yet, but I am still hacking away at it. It's overly complicated, but overly powerful at the same time with TONS of possible configurations, so it's just a matter of me hitting the right combo. ;)

Edit: Disregard the second part, as I think the first strong "Price:" is merely a label...will remove that and change the 'base price' to read simply "Price:" :)

Okay, I guess I understand it now.  'base price' was only showing up for logged in admin, as I only had base price toggled.  So I toggled ALL prices on and there appeared "sale price."

I simply wanted it to display the price entered in the product settings with no fancy calculations, so I assumed just showing 'base price' would be sufficient.  I think I am good to go or at least understand some workarounds now. ;)

Hi Guys,

i am experiencing exactly the same problem as mentioned by JinXter.
Running on Joomla 2.5.4 and VM2.0.4.
The issue redided after updating from VM2.0.2 to VM2.0.4.

I have checked the shopper groups in regard to price displaying and it is set to Show Price.
The base price is correctly shown on the frontend when enabled in the backoffice.

Since the site is not yet a production site i can work around it, but it would be nice if it works as it did previously in VM2.0.2

I'm open to any suggestion on a fix.

Thanks in advance!

Still having the same problem!
Anyone have any clue on how to fix this?

Thanks

jenkinhill

Not sure if this is your issue, but here have been changes in price display for VM2.0.4 - add this to your site url and look at the framed content - /administrator/index.php?option=com_virtuemart&view=liveupdate

I just updated to the latest version of VM, and after an hour of wasting my time on this I think I just now figured out that "Price:" is a header, not a field label. When working "properly" as I understand it, it is intended read something like:

Price:
Sales Price: $1,559.99

...which is confusing in my opinion. It looks like "Price" information is missing, and the item is on sale for $1,559.00. I would like for mine to read:

Price: $1,559.99

Simple. Direct. Easy for customers to understand. Such simple format shouldn't be so difficult.

Is there any way to show the price without the shopper having to log in? :(

If so is there a way to do it globally and not have to touch all 3.000+ products?
