Unzip vm2_cart_unzip_first.zip > Install module and Plugin > Publish plugin    plg_system_vm2_cart > Go to Admin VirtueMart > Configuration > Checkout  > Show product images set to Yes. Done!



Any comments would be appreciated.

Works pretty good took some playing with to get working properly. Where is the css for the drop-down?

Thanks a bunch I found it after inspecting with Firefox. When something is added to the cart the page scrolls down...How do you fix this?

Also, It would be nice to turn off the pop up message that is displayed from virtue mart...

Thank you for your module, I'll test it.
But on wich licence is it based ?
Is it GNU ? or do we have to pay something after the beta test period (not nice for beta tester in that case  :-\)
You should write the licence term on the code comment. Right now we can do what we want.
It's also a way to protect your job.
Hope you'll keep it free :-)

Very useful and nice, but while testing it, I found something not working: On the demo page, if you add products to the cart and navigate to other pages that have no VM components (ie. Using Joomla) the images get broken:
<img src="http://www.linelab.org/virtuemart-templates/">   <--- no image is passed.

Also, I added about ten products to the cart and found that when the cart container exceeds the page height, I have problems scrolling down where the "Show cart" link is displayed.

PD: Is there a way to disable the slide if cart is empty?

Hi again, for some reason when a product is added to the cart the whole page scrolls down when the AJAX message pops up. You can take a look at it here www.vipstanchions.com also pictures stopped displaying. Thanks you very much for providing this for free. If I were you i would add a few more bells and whistle's to this mod and sell it. I would definitely buy! :D Let me know if you can help me with this,

Has this bug been fixed yet? I am also in a need of this. Even on the demo page here: http://www.linelab.org/virtuemart-templates/index.php/getting-started it isn't working properly. add a product to cart and then navigate to the page mentioned above and you will see that there's no image?
How can we fix this?

nice extension and i wanted to use it for a new store, but most of the mentioned bugs aren´t solved. is there any bug fix planed soon?

as the links of the images aren´t stored in the vm database but dynamic generated you have to add config and vmimage class to the vm2 plug in:

Seems to be this thread is dead. But nevertheless a quick and dirty solution for the problem, if the cart is empty, empty display

This works for the German text at MOD_VM2_CART_CART_EMPTY="ist noch leer." For english text at MOD_VM2_CART_CART_EMPTY="Cart is empty." adjust the code in line 4 if (texter != "istnochleer.") to if (texter != "Cartisempty."). Spaces have to be removed! Like I said quick and dirty but works fine ;-)

Works fine however I was getting two modal popups one from the main cart and one from the mini cart.  I turned off the modal popup and now I have no popups... hmmm it would be ok to have one pop and not two for me?? 

So I tried to add a little cart image just before Cart but ... I am not having success with that.  What would be the best way??

modal popup works fine by me. No idea what your problem can be.
And what do you mean with adding a little cart image before cart? And why do you want to do this?
I really didn´t get your problem.

Do you mean that the Mini Cart opens if you add a product, too? If you want to solve this just delete

This is almost exactly what I was looking for, but to much. I just want to display the cart total in a module. I don't want to list the products. Is there a way I can do this or a way I can edit your module to just show the total?

Edit: Actually this is just fine.

I do see an issue, though where the price doesn't update unless the page is refreshed. I have "Add to cart" buttons in modules on my Joomla site, it opens a lightbox of the cart and once that's close I'm trying to get the price to update on this module.

I figured out how to do what I mentioned in the previous post. One last thing... What do I edit to show a  "View Cart" link next to either cart empty or the total?

Nice module! With the new plugin on VM 2.0.14 i get this error:
Fatal error: Cannot redeclare class VmImage in \wwwroot\administrator\components\com_virtuemart\helpers\image.php on line 181

With the old plugin i can't use the delete button and the images arn't show outside VM

Hi Sjorzzzie, Please completely uninstall the old plugin and module first and install the latest version of Mini cart module.

I've installed it, looks nice and easy, but it's transparent?
I've tried to change the png files but it did't help.

Is there someone who could help me?

If you have a website in a subfolder, you must edit images path in css if necessary.  :(
We will fix this issue in the next release.

I have joomla installed in www.mysite.com/folder. I edited the 3 lines in the default.php as fallows: ("/folder/modules/mod_vm2cart/botct.png") and so on. But its not working. Do i have to change anything else in the files from the module or plugin?

i installed the Slide Mini Card on Joomla 2.5.8 with Virtuemart 2.0.12f .
Looks like the Card works, but i get an Error: Warning: Creating default object from empty value in vm2_cart.php on line 61

I try this on a Webserver and on my local PC with XAMPP.

Ok the Problem with the Error / Warning solved - Errorlevel change in Joomla.

But i have new Problems.....

If the Cart is empty the Background Image looks good if i set the mouse on it....
but if i add a Product to the Cart there is a blank line with no Background under the Products bevor the Line "Show Cart" - see the attachet image

And if the plg_system_vm2_cart Plugin is enable i cant change the Produkt Catergories.
I displayd as fist Page the Categories Page and cant go in a Categorie. If i set the first Page to a Produkt Page, i can add the Product to the Cart and go back to the Categories List - and nothing more.... No entry in a Categorie....

Sometimes if i not in VM / a Product i cant remove a Item from Cart / extreme long wating Time bevore the Item is removed.

When i activate plg_system_vm2_cart i can only see the category's on the frontsite of my site. Once i click on a category I'm redirected to the category's so i get in a loop. When i deactivate plg_system_vm2_cart  everything is working normal. I use Joomla 2.5.9 and VM 2.0.18a. Anyone a idea?

Solved! Just activate the module and deactivate the plugin and it all works just fine.

For those has problem with transparent background.
If put your shop in subfolder you must go to [modules/mod_vm2cart/tmpl/default.php]
put on every image source 2 dots.
default is: background: url("/modules/mod_vm2cart/cartpop.png")
after tip: background: url("../modules/mod_vm2cart/cartpop.png")

1. Currently any product_attributes are shown way below the product name.
Once a second item is added to the cart, it looks like product_attributes belong to the 2nd item & not part of the 1st item.
Can it be moved up & placed between thr product name & the empty image ?
2. Empty feature works but it is shown only after I refresh the page.
Can it be fixed ?
3. How to make the cart stay on screen longer ?
4. How to enable the popup only when there are products in cart OR maybe show inside the cart also the next message "MOD_VM2_CART_CART_EMPTY=....."

I had an issue with this module.
It did not update the minicart if the page was not refreshed.  Let me know how you find it.

I have downloaded vm2 cart ... when I add a product to the basket .... and I want to check out ... (obsah kosiku) ... I have for English language the right url like (href="/en/eshop-led-osvetleni/led-lighs/led-ceiling-lights/cart.html) but for the czech language (and another) I have url like href="/cs/component/virtuemart/cart.html?Itemid=0". Could You help me please ? I know joomla and virtuemart a bit but this is too much for me. I have another thing to ask if it is possible ... if I upgrade to vn 2.0.24 - vm2 cart loose the backgroug (doesn no load the url("/modules/mod_vm2cart/botct.png) - have ou heard about this ?

You should call the module Linelab Virtuemart Cart, as it is confusing with normal virtuemart cart

I have tested

I need to use cache to improve website speed, as it's quite up in weight, I use both in configuration and with system - cache plugin enabled, by force.

When I use cache the problem is that also the Cart is cached, so f.e. I add a Product to cart, but the module shows always Empty Cart in latest visited pages, and that's quite bad as gets customer confusing.

Could you add an option maybe to update trough ajax on each product page loading?

I have a problem with the rounding of prices in the basket.
For example, I logged in as a shopper with 3% discount.
I go into the product, click the "add to cart" and get these problems:
1. The first time you add an item, the price is rounded, but after the decimal point is two zeros. Where did they come from?
2. Updating the same page and watch the prices changed in the basket. In the price appeared after the decimal point numbers (the price is not rounded)

Rounding prices should be taken from the VM settings. How do I fix mod_vm2cart/default.php for this?

I have another problem. I just setup multilanguage, everything is ok, but when I click show cart in Romanian it gives me 404 error.
Disabled SEF in Joomla working, created one menu to wich assigned Cart working.

What should I do ? I need SEF to be on.
