Coupon Code Discounts should have limited usage

I want it where the coupon created can be used by multiple people with no limit on the total number of redemptions... only each member can only use it once.  Surely you've seen coupons real-life coupons with the fine print reading "Usage: only 1 per customer".

Does anyone have a solution for this?

i have it working already...

it requires a user to be logged in before he can use the coupon.

the coupon can only be used 1 time per user

I had to hire a programmer to make this for me. If there are more people interested i will make an installation pack.

just let me know.

I've been looking for the same thing. I was shocked that Virtuemart didn't have all of these options with coupons. This thread was started back in 2005 and they said that they were going to add it to the to do list...is there any chance that it really is going to happen? I will probably have to go ahead and write the code myself for this project.

Found a bit of a problem with Awocoupon.

If you use the product restrictions and the client purchases some products the code is assigned to and some which it is not, the discount is applied to BOTH products.

If he buys only a product that the code doesnt apply to then it shows the code as not valid which is OK.

Is there any option to coupon that user will apply for multiple time and minus the amount of the product.

eg

   Gift amount : $2000
 
   Product total : $400

  $2000 - $400 = $1600

 after same other time user reuse the coupon

   Gift amount : $1600
 
   Product total : $1000

  $1600 - $1000 = $600
