I would like to accept credit cards and receive the money into my PayPal, but do not want to require the customer to sign-up for PayPal. Is this possible?

I have set the PayPal configuration like the attached image. It acts like it would work, but I get the error - Credit Card Type not found

I got rid of the error:
I got the credit card types to show up by adding this:

<script language="Javascript" type="text/javascript" src="/includes/js/joomla.javascript.js"></script>

on the first line of the components/com_virtuemart/themes/default/templates/checkou/list_payment_methods.tpl.php file.

You don't need to do that, just use the default PayPal payment module that is bundled with VM, once customer is redirected to PayPal they have the option to use credit card or paypal account.

hello,

aravot, lucky you then! i have joomla 1.5.13 and virtuemart 1.1.3 (both latest releases) and i can tell you it only defaults to paypal payment. the seller account is a paypal sandbox business account, i have carefully read the whole page and there is no option to choose credit card anywhere. maybe a sandbox seller account needs the status to be set to verified? maybe that has to do with the fact that the paypal module is set to test mode (for testing/security) purposes? i mean, i'm sure there must be a way, just what? btw, when i asked a paypal consultant about business accounts i was confirmed the credit card option is then available. so how come?...

greetings!

well, i sort of found out a solution to the problem if you are interested in it: http://forum.virtuemart.net/index.php?topic=58425.msg191724#msg191724. basically order status for pending to confirmed.
