Can I add an extra line in php code (if statement)?

I want to add a <br/> or a line only if the php if statement is true.

        <?php
           if( $this->get_cfg( 'showAvailability' ))
         {
              echo $product_availability;
           }
           ?>

Is there a way I can add a br or some line in that php code if that php statement is true?
