Error message when trying to setup shop for first time

Hi

VirtueMart Version 3.8.6

I am getting this error message when trying to configure my shop for the first time and want to change shop details.
Anyone got any idea what this means?

After saving shop configuration. giving error.

Error
vmError: Storing of user with 27 cancelled, there exists already a user 955 with the virtuemart_vendor_id 1
vmError: storing user data
vmError: Was not able to save the VirtueMart user data

Was this a quick install bundled with a template??

If so this happens so often because of poor "bundling"

They have assigned a vendor that doesn't exist in your Joomla ..

enable "Enable database Update tools" in the VM config
go to "Tools"->"Tools and Migration"
DB Tools tab
"Write here the new store owner id" enter 27
"Set Store Owner"

You should then be able to proceed with the shop details etc
