Setting up Paypal Pro

Hi
I must be missing something obvious despite reading all the documentation I can find.

VM requires:-
API username
API Password
API signature

If I try to setup a Live Paypal Pro account , in Paypal I only get a

CLient ID
and
Secret

But if I setup a Sandbox account
paypal gives me

sandbox account
CLient ID
and
Secret

None of which seem to wqrk

Can someone tell mt what is the paypal equivalent of the API username, password and signature

is password the client ID and signature the secret ?
If so what is the username?

There are several different versions of PayPal Pro. The one bundled with Virtuemart is "Website Payments Pro"
which is a legacy payment system for United States and Canadian merchants.
To use this they must have a Pro account from PayPal. Standard PayPal business accounts will not work.

You have a

Client ID
and
Secret

which are PayPal Checkout credentials. This is PayPal's latest payment method.
You can get a compatible plugin from.

If you live in Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, United States and United Kingdom.
You can take credit card payments directly on your site without PayPal branding.
To do this you must upgrade your account for Advanced Integration.

Log in to your PayPal account

click on "App Center" and "PayPal Checkout".
