Virtuemart 3.0.8 resize on upload full images feature

Hi,
does anybody know how to auto resize images on upload.
My users upload big pictures 4000x3000px and I want that the images would auto resize to let's say 1000x1000 px.

I found this code for VM 2:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lo7i8bg-GeY but i don't find anything for VM3.

Is there any plugin with this functionality?

That it would be very useful function.
The end users will be able to upload and resize images easily.
