Virtuemart Cookie Query
« on: November 26, 2012, 09:04:32 am »
Hi there

I am running Joomla 1.5.20 with Virtuemar 1.1.9 Stable.

Now, i have cookie check enabled and it works fine with a message that pops up when a user's cookies are not enabled.

However, if a user has been on the site on a previous occasion and a cookie was stored and they don't have cookies enabled, the poppup message will not appear.

Is there a bypass to this and is it fixed in the latest version of Virtuemart? for i think it is time to upgrade...

Any input will be appreciated. :D

VirtueMart 1.1.9 worked just fine with the cookie check disabled, which ISTR is how most people set it up as the cookie check caused issues.

There are no cookie problems with VM2

Note that Joomla 1.5.20 is known to have critical security issues so should not really be used on a live site.  http://forum.virtuemart.net/index.php?topic=106866.0
