Migration product custom fields

Hi,

I'm busy with the Migration of my Shop.
I tried to migrate Joomla 1.5.25 to 2.5.2 together with the virtuemart (1.1.9 to 2.0.2).
I used the descriptions here in the forum.
Everything works fine.
I only have the problem that the product customfields are not migrated.
Of course I saw that the migration tool of vm 2 doesn't migrate this,
but I'm looking for a solution that I don't have to write all the fields for hundreds of products.

Somebody has an idea who I can do this very easy?

Hi and thanks for the quick response.

I just want to explain what I did.
Maybe you can tell whether this is correct or not.
I installed the csvi 1.9 on joomla 1.5.25 and I tried to export the products.
After I installed the new csvi 4 for joomla 2.5 and I tried to import the file.

Is that the correct way?

Of course I get all products but not like they was in vm 1.1.9.
Maybe I did something wrong in the configuration of my export file?

The description what you gave me is only for the configuration of csvi 4.

For this I'm not sure whether it is possible to take the export file from joomla 1.5.25 for joomla 2.5.2???
Is that possible?

And of course the first migration with jwupgrate was very good.

Only the customfields are missing in the products.
Is it possible with csvi 4 to put only the customfields from joomla 1.5.25 with vm 1.1.9 to all of my products?

The export will have to be prepared, and work be done to it to migrate them.

Its not as simple as import and export.


How many products do you have?

I have 5 shops and each shop has between 200 and 300 products.
It will be great if somebody knows a solution.

I tried just a little bit what I explained before:

I installed the csvi 1.9 on joomla 1.5.25 and I tried to export the products.
After I installed the new csvi 4 for joomla 2.5 and I tried to import the file.

And it was possible to import them.
But I think I have to edit the configuration that I will get the custom fields too.

Maybe somebody knows some description or some youtube video where I can see it???

Or is it possible that the migration tool of vm 2 will integrate the customfields too?
